Wärtsilä Global Business Services (WGBS) supports the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting or other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WGBS is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective, and efficient processes. WGBS is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
We are now looking for Accountant, CoE eInvoicing to join our Invoice to Cash (ITC) team. This is a temporary position of 15-16 months, located in Vaasa, Finland, with hybrid work possibilities.
In the role of Accountant, CoE eInvoicing you will be involved with customer invoicing, especially spare parts invoicing activities and distribution of created invoices through e-invoicing platforms. You are involved in all related activities of planning, preparing, finalizing, and supporting companies and customers receiving invoices through the e-invoicing platforms. We offer you an opportunity to work in a small team of experts with diverse expertise in customer invoicing, having a broad global network consisting of process stakeholders in different businesses and global functions, as well enormous learning possibilities.
In this role your main responsibilities are:
- Creating customer invoices/e-invoices and handling invoice distribution via e-invoicing platforms
- Monitoring e-invoicing processes and platforms: identifying, investigating, determining, and fixing root causes related to e-invoicing bottlenecks and ensuring corrective actions and efficient communication between the process stakeholders
- Maintaining and creating change requests for customer e-invoicing tools and system configurations
- Ensuring high-quality, harmonious, and compliant processes by following legal requirements, Corporation guidelines, as well other process requirements
- Creating, maintaining, and updating the e-invoicing process related internal documentation
- Assisting internal and external stakeholders in questions related to customer invoicing and e-invoicing
- Participating in development projects and migrations in customer e-invoicing area
- Participating in continuous process and tool development by giving active input
- Other customer invoicing related tasks, such as period end closing activities
Requirements:
- Financial education – M.Sc or B.Sc
- Knowledge and understanding in Financial Accounting and Order-to-Cash process
- Excellent communication, cooperation and customer service skills
- Systematic and organized way of working, paying attention to details
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced skills in English, Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage
- IT skills (e.g. MS Office tools)
An ideal candidate will have also:
- Pro-active thinking, interest in process optimization, flexibility; being self-going, fast learner, good team-player
- Knowledge and experience in FICO, SD, PS and CS modules in SAP
- Knowledge and experience in RPA, AI, Analytics
- Knowledge and experience in customer invoicing and invoice distribution processes in Wärtsilä
- Experience of working in shared services environment is an advantage
