Lecturer in Machine Design  

Mechatronics represents modern mechanical engineering as a multi- or interdisciplinary scientific field. It combines machine design with electronics and software in the design and manufacturing of industrial products. At Aalto University, the primary research areas in mechatronics include rotor dynamics, autonomous mobility, digital twins, power transmission, hydraulics, and tribology. 

We are primarily looking for a university teacher to implement and develop teaching activities in machine design. The candidate is required to hold at least a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, enabling them to teach machine design in Finnish. This is a full-time permanent position on the Aalto University lecturer career system. Depending on the selected candidate, university lecturer or senior university lecturer level could be also possible. In this role, you will report to the head of the mechatronics group.
