Learning Services of the School of Science is looking for a trainee for a fixed-term position from April to July 2025

Your role 

As a trainee, you will be introduced to a variety of tasks within teaching and student support services. Your tasks will include assisting with exam arrangements, updating the student registry and ensuring data quality, assisting in clarifying reporting needs, archiving duties and providing student advising.

Your competence 

You should be a full-time university student from a relevant field and eager to develop your skills and work competence. This trainee position is a spot-on job for you, if you have a responsible and systematic approach to work, are quick to learn and comprehend the big picture, but also pay attention to details. You enjoy communicating with both students and staff, both on campus and through digital services.

Proficiency in Finnish and Swedish is an advantage but not necessary. Previous experience in customer service or higher education, for example through studies or organizational activities, is viewed as a benefit.

What we offer

The employment is a part-time (around 10-15 hours per week) fixed-term contract for four months, starting in the beginning of April. The exact end date and the balance between studies and the internship can be negotiated. There is a possibility to work more hours during the summer.

The salary is determined according to the general collective agreement for universities. A full-time trainee salary is 2200 € / month.
