We are looking for a (Senior) Development Engineer with a main responsibility in our Plant Automation IT Infrastructure The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Helsinki and Turku are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our IT infrastructure servers as part of the Plant Automation product
- Windows and Linux server administration
- Support our current IT infrastructure solutions for sales and projects
- Participate in strategy work and development roadmap creation for plant infrastructure
- Train and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings for expert support for IT infra
- Drive our Wärtsilä values and purpose
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology or similar
- Experience of Windows Server 2022/25 administration, AD and Group Policies
- Experience in Linux administration experience
- Scripting: PowerShell, Shell, Python knowledge
- IT automation (Ansible) knowledge
- Open-minded attitude
- Teamwork capability and ability to work independently
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- Network configuration, administration and automation (Cisco or Fortinet) knowledge
- Experience with OT environments and applicable cyber security practices (IEC 62443 4-1)
- Experience as a system administrator in an MSP
- Extensive knowhow with any of the following: MDT, cloud-init, OOBM (iDRAC/iLO)
- Familiarity with Git and Atlassian toolset (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
