We are now looking for a dynamic Manager to lead our skilled Content Management Spare Part Information department in the Lifecycle Data Operations CoE. The role is offered as a permanent contract and the preferred location is Vaasa, Finland. In line with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely.

The Content Management Spare Part Information department is divided into two teams: one for 4-Stroke Engines and another for Auxiliaries & Environmental Products. As the Manager of this department, you will also lead the Auxiliaries & Environmental Products team directly. Meanwhile, the leader of the 4-Stroke Engines team will report to you.

What will you be doing?

Our department is at the heart of ensuring smooth lifecycle support for Wärtsilä's extensive product portfolio. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining spare part information content for Spare Part Sections, Structures, and Spare Part Catalogues for 4-stroke engines (FI), auxiliary systems for Marine installations, and environmental products. The spare part information is a backbone to the spare part business for the lifecycle support of Wärtsilä products.

As Manager, Content Management Spare Part Information, you will be responsible for enabling high performance and setting strategies and action plans to guide your team's efforts. By leading and coaching your team members, driving competence development to enhance their skills and capabilities, and encouraging continuous improvement, you will ensure the team meets its quality and performance goals.

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining action plans for the team.
  • Managing team activities in alignment with strategies and targets to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring high-quality performance within the team.
  • Fostering the competence development of team members.
  • Handling HR-related matters for team members.
  • Acting as the cost centre owner, responsible for planning, implementing, and adhering to approved department cost estimates in the Rolling-5.
  • Promoting cooperation and resource sharing between teams within the Lifecycle Data Operations CoE and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and reporting the team's business performance to the line manager.
  • Leading the development of tools, processes, and competencies within the team and in collaboration with stakeholders, in line with the Lifecycle Data Operations CoE Mission and Vision statement.
  • Supporting development projects within assigned responsibility area.
  • Continuously developing and maintaining personal competencies in line with responsibilities and accountabilities.

  • Extensive experience in technical documentation, especially with spare part information.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and people management skills, with a track record of leading successful teams.
  • Passion for the development of both people and teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Team-player mindset, strong collaborative skills, enjoying interaction with people.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
