We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Head of Finance, Lifewide Learning (Capital area, Finland)

to develop and manage the finance and business control of Lifewide Learning in Aalto University.

The Head of Finance reports to the Head of Lifewide Learning & Managing Director of Aalto University Executive Education Ltd and in matrix to the CFO of Aalto University.

Your role and goals

• Be an active member of the Lifewide Learning leadership team, providing proactive business support in financial and operational performance, as well as financial guidance and insight

• Drive Lifewide Learning finance transformation by developing new processes and practices, streamlining and improving financial performance

• Ensure timely long term and annual planning, forecasting and reporting on the financial performance of the Lifewide Learning

• Ensure compliance with relevant Aalto Group policies, as well relevant legislation.

Your experience and ambitions

You are a strong financial professional with high integrity and development-oriented mindset. In your work you need to have a capability to build a good understanding of the University and Lifewide Learning strategy, as well as its competitiveness and performance drivers. You always look for the benefit of the whole Aalto University. We value:

• 10+ years of experience in financial management and/or business control

• Proven track record in business control positions

• Business mindset with strategic, collaboration and influencing skills

• Experience of modern finance systems, tools and processes

• Understanding of data analytics and its applicability in finance

• Experience in digital business transformation, change management skills, experience of carrying out an organisational transformation

• High emotional intelligence, determination and flexibility

• A suitable university level degree

• Excellent command of English; command of Finnish is an asset
