We are now looking for an experienced (2-15 years) Electrical Engineer to strengthen the Plant & Cell, Electrical team at Wärtsilä Sustainable Technology Hub. The team is responsible for the electrical systems of the engine test facilities.

In this role, you will work with electrical engineering tasks such as design, procurement and documentation, but also hands-on with highly versatile electrical systems in an interesting industrial environment. You will also work as a supervisor of electrical works performed by professionals. You will be working independently and in cooperation with several stakeholders, both internal and external. You are expected to have strong communication and coordination skills.

The location for this position is Smart Technology Hub in Vaasa, Finland.

What you will be doing:

  • Secure plant electrical systems operation by maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Support in leading electrical contractors/suppliers' work as needed
  • Support design work performed by suppliers
  • Managing technical documentation
  • Purchasing services, equipment and spare parts required for operation and development of the facility
  • Support that maintenance is performed on electrical systems in accordance with regulations and planned maintenance in the electrical discipline
  • Safeguard that works under own responsibility area are executed according to requirements, specifications, instructions, HSE, and the facility’s policies
  • Write risk assessments and work permits for electrical work

 
Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in own discipline
  • Self-propelling active personality
  • Good command of Finnish and English, Swedish is seen as an advantage
