Mechatronics group is looking for summer employees!

Your role and goals

The goal of the summer job is to assist the mechatronics research group in their research. The specific job description will be defined based on the selected candidate's skills and interests. Mechatronics research group consists of four labs that are described in more detail below:

Research topics at the Fluid Power laboratory are focused on the design of energy efficient systems with simulations, experiments, and generative design approaches. Research topics at the Autonomous Mobility laboratory Research topics at the Autonomous Mobility laboratory are focused on enabling fluent automated operation of mobile machinery in diverse and challenging operating conditions. Research topics at the DigiTwin laboratory are related to industrial digitalization, such as digital twins, information integration from different systems, and mixed reality interfaces in industry. Research topics at the ARotor laboratory relate to rotor dynamics, bearing, vibrations, and condition monitoring. Your experience and ambitions

  • Undergraduate or master's degree student in engineering or a related field

  • Interest in learning new things

  • Good teamwork skills

  • Experience in the following will be considered an advantage:

    • Machine design

    • Simulations, e.g., MATLAB/Simulink

    • Mathematical skills

    • Programming in any programming language, e.g., Python

Language requirements

English: Excellent proficiency (minimum B1 level).

Finnish: Finnish proficiency is considered an advantage.

  • The salary for the summer employee is about €2100 per month (gross), depending on the stage of studies
