We are looking for a university student to join Orion's Information Management (IM) department as a trainee to explore the opportunities of improving our IT architecture.

Description of the position

In this assignment, you will learn about our approach to IT architecture and explore opportunities for improvement. Your role will involve investigating the capabilities of our architecture tool and other relevant technologies. You will also be responsible for various practical tasks. The role can be tailored to your background and interests. Your goal will be to identify specific opportunities to enhance our IT architecture practices and begin implementing them.

Description of the unit

Orion's Information Management (IM) employs 80 people, of which about two thirds are located in Espoo. Other offices are located in Turku, Kuopio, Hanko, Mumbai and Nottingham. In your role in Information Management, you will be part of the Development Services team, which is responsible for various IT development services. We will work closely across organizations to support Orion's business in achieving its strategic objectives, not only by ensuring the availability of IT services, but also by continuously seeking new innovations to meet current and future business needs. We have highly motivated people, and a good working atmosphere based on shared values and mutual trust.

Requirements

• You are a student in university or university of applied sciences studies in a relevant field
• You are interested in exploring new technologies and tools
• You are enthusiastic about working with complex system architectures
• You are already familiar with the terms Architecture, AI, ML, cloud etc.
• You like working in a team but can also work independently and are self-motivated
• You can communicate fluently in both Finnish and English
• Carry out assigned tasks with care, completing them within the given timeframe
