Are you experienced in quality assurance and looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic (Junior) Quality Engineer to join our Security Cloud and Release Systems team for year 2025, at least initially (parental leave substitution). As part of our XDR unit, we develop cutting-edge technologies to combat cyber threats, which we sell as software or managed services to various market segments.
As Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for our (automated) software testing, ensuring our cloud services are of the highest quality. If you're up for the challenge, come join us and be part of a team that's making a difference in the world of cybersecurity!
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers and threat analysts to understand the requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios, and also report found issues
- Automate tests, and monitor and maintain existing TA sets
- Maintain our automated testing frameworks and tools
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when necessary
- Optionally, contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality protection service
What are we looking for?
- Experience in quality assurance and testing of cloud-based applications
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and implementing automated tests
- Knowledge and skills with Python, pytest, pytest-bdd, Jenkins or similar
- Problem solving skills, ability to debug and troubleshoot production backend issues
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Proactive attitude and learning by doing experience
Bonus points
- Experience with public cloud, preferably AWS
- CI/CD pipeline experience, e.g. Jenkins
- Experience with e.g. Grafana, Splunk, AWS Cloudwatch for monitoring and analyzing logs and data
- Development skills e.g. with Python or Java, Docker
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices is a plus
