Senior System Test Engineer
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document comprehensive tests to verify and validate system behavior, identify issues, and ensure high performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to oversee system acceptance testing and ensure the functionality of an advanced non-terrestrial networking (NTN) system.
- Prepare for and conduct both lab-based and field-based testing for hardware and software systems at the forefront of technology.
- Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports that enhance product and network quality.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and oversee resolution processes to achieve successful outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including LTE, NB-IoT, and other 3GPP protocols.
- Familiarity with test processes and methodologies, with a track record of building testing capabilities from the ground up.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming using tools such as Python, Bash, or Go, and experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment, automation tools, and platforms like Jenkins, JIRA, and Confluence.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field, preferably in computer science or electrical engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in system verification, test automation, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Collaborative communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
