We are looking for an Engineer, Materials testing with a main responsibility in assisting our team of experts to perform material investigations. 


The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland
  
Your role and responsibilities  
 
As an Engineer, Materials testing your work will include handling and documenting engine components/samples (photography), sample sectioning and metallographic sample preparation, optical microscopy and hardness measurements. The role will also include general maintenance of the laboratory and its equipment. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your skills and interests. You will be working as a part of R&D Materials&Tribology team with diverse expertise.
 
Requirements for the position: 

  • Vocational/Technical education preferably in the field of mechanical engineering  
  • Good teamwork and problem-solving skills  
  • Systematic way of working

 
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 
 

  • Good command of English language  
  • Knowledge of different metallic material testing methods and metallographic Sample preparation is an advantage  
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt new skills
