On-call Trainee

We are looking for an On-Call Trainee to join the Central Supply Management team.
Position information:
In this position, you can work 0-25h/week. The location of this position is Vaasa, Turku or Helsinki, Finland.
What do we expect from you?
What will help you in your work: You have knowledge of supply chain management, and importantly, you are ready to learn more. You have a mindset for problem-solving. You are fluent in English. You can you use MS Office tools (Email, Word, Excel) to support your work and have basic knowledge of SAP. You are curious, you dare to go into “cold water”, and try out new ways to do things, to learn – every day.
What can you expect?
Picture yourself as part of our team: You handle tasks jointly as a member of our on-call trainee team of four. The tasks are in our team's areas and depend on your knowledge and experience. Some are bigger assignments where you are working closely with others, some are smaller tasks that you carry out mainly on your own. The assignments are mainly project-oriented, with a start and end date. You have a way to express matters clearly to others, as you will be in touch with persons also from different countries.
Who are we?
The Central Supply Management team has a global role in Wärtsilä supply chain management. We create value for Wärtsilä by developing the globally standardised Source to Pay process and maintaining tools for the process. We also provide expertise to business organisations through user support, coaching and training. We work with colleagues in all of Wärtsilä, especially in sourcing, purchasing, project management, product management and technical expertise.
Central Supply Management has global ownership in Wärtsilä supply chain management for the following:
- Source to Pay process framework and tools
- Development methods and tools for supply chain performance (quality, delivery, cost)
- Reporting and analytics for supply chain management
