Business Developer For Diamant Project

The Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering conducts research and arranges related courses in the fields of electromagnetics, micro and nanotechnology, radio engineering, and space technology. The department research groups have active national and international collaboration with several institutes and companies. Research groups are working with world-class research facilities and instruments; the largest clean rooms in the Nordic countries are located in the Micro- and nanotechnology centre Micronova.

Aalto University is now looking for a
BUSINESS DEVELOPER FOR DIAMANT PROJECT
to join a team of research experts of the Research to Business case in the field of thin membrane antennas from the School of Electrical Engineering. The project presents a fundamental change in the way we large deployable antennas for small satellites through the novel concept of line feed system. This technology is not only disruptive to current small satellite platforms, but it also enables the development of new business in space and non-space markets.
What you’ll do
You’ll actively identify partners for the project and negotiate with them. You also prepare commercialization paths to meet the potential clients’ demands. An important task is to make a go-to market plan for the services and products of the project and map out different commercialization options e.g. start-up establishment.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a business minded person with entrepreneurial mindset. You don’t need to be an expert of antenna technology, but share the genuine interest to build a commercial business of a superb deep tech startup. We have the technology experts; you bring the business drive.
What we value?
- Fluency in English
- Experience and proven track record in business development, commercialization and entrepreneurship
- Experience in the radio and ICT industry or some exposure to it helps
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds
- Excellent teamwork, negotiation and communications skills
