Parts and Field Service Region North Europe is now looking for an enthusiastic and organised Resource Planner, Field Service (FS) North Europe to strengthen and support our skilled FS Resources team. The role is offered as a permanent contract and will be based in Turku, Finland.

What will you be doing?

As Resource Planner in Parts and Field Service Region North Europe, your tasks will revolve around efficient and optimised allocation of our Field Service resources in the Wärtsilä Sweden (WSE, Gothenburg) and Wärtsilä Finland (WFI, Turku) locations. Your focus will be ensuring that the right resources with the right competencies are available and assigned to service jobs when needed, in accordance with customer requirements. You will be actively supporting the Resource Managers in Gothenburg and Turku with day-to-day activities, and act as their stand-in when they are absent.

For this exciting and versatile role, we hope that you are highly organised, with excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset. As an ideal candidate, you have a technical background, to enable accurate resource allocation. You also have experience with working in an office environment, resource coordination, and performing administrative duties. You are passionate about your work, an avid collaborator, and eager to grow professionally.

To excel in this role, you have proficient English, Finnish, and Swedish language skills, to ensure that you can seamlessly support and cooperate with the Field Service personnel in both Finland and Sweden.

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Allocating resources for Warranty, Commissioning, and Field Service work for the FS Resources teams in Finland and Sweden, using the assigned request tool.
  • Maintaining and closely following up on the resource Planning Board.
  • Ensuring optimised utilisation of Field Service resources.
  • Fostering close collaboration with other departments (Operation, Sales, Contract Management, Global Field Service) to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Continuous interaction with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Providing regular feedback on executed jobs to the Operations Coordinator and the Resource Manager.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of personnel details, as appropriate.
  • Adherence to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
  • Act as stand-in for the Resource Managers in their absence.

The below will enable you to succeed in this role:

  • MSc or BSc in a relevant educational field, or relevant work experience to compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Proficient English, Swedish, and Finnish language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in Field Service or Service Delivery related roles.
  • Understanding of technical terminology and the scope of service jobs to ensure accurate resource allocation.
  • Strong IT skills, interest in working with different systems, adaptability, and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Structured and organised way of working, along with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and resourceful approach to problem-solving, along with eagerness to tackle occasional complex and challenging assignments outside of daily routine tasks.
  • Service-oriented, friendly, and helpful approach, with excellent communication skills.
  • Drive for the common goal of providing our customers with the best possible service experience.
