Your role and goals
As a Project Manager your task is to manage the administration of large multipartner research projects coordinated by Aalto University. These international projects represent top-level scientific research and they are of key importance both to the University and the research team. You are part of Aalto´s Post-award Services team at Research Services and work closely with Pre-award Services, Academic Legal Services, Financial Services and other support services within Aalto University.
Your experience and ambitions
You have previous experience in the administration of externally funded research projects. We expect you to have a good knowledge on relevant funding instruments, e.g. Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. We prefer a doctoral degree.
In order to be successful as a Project Manager you have the ability to work independently, skills to manage large entities and high level organizational skills. You are able to search knowledge from different sources and to distribute and to interpret funding terms and conditions to academic researchers. Your cooperation, networking and communication skills are excellent. Your way of working is based on problem solving and you are customer oriented. In this position working proficiency in English is required and Finnish proficiency is considered as an advantage.
What we offer
We offer you an interesting and challenging job in an international academic environment in a well known university. You will be supported by our friendly colleagues with high level expertise with opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in project management and funding.
Our vast array of professional development opportunities means you will grow and learn, having the chance to participate actively in staff trainings and development projects based on your interests and needs.
We work in a hybrid way, and we have flexible working hours. Your local workplace is in the renewed and lively campus area of Otaniemi, which has versatile services and good transportation connections.
