Wärtsilä Marine Power, Parts Delivery within Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services (WGLS) is now looking for a Global Process Expert to our Global Warehousing team to be part of building the solution from current Warehouse Management Systems to SAP S/4 Hana through the Nova program.
You will report to the Manager, Global Warehousing and your main counterparts will be in Nova program and Global Warehousing locations. The preferred location for the position is a WGLS location in Europe due to time zones constraints of project meetings. This position might require travelling to some extent.
Nova Program: Purpose of Nova is to empower business to improve productivity and increase customer value by transforming our ERP. Nova is a program that will enable continuous improvement by creating an ERP solution that supports standardised agile business models, modern processes and a superior user experience, safeguarding business performance during the transition. The phases go from explore, design, realise to Go Live in 2025.
WGLS: WGLS manages the entire logistics chain of Wärtsilä OEM parts, from order intake to customer delivery where Parts Delivery maintains the physical stocks, prepares materials for delivery and issues delivery documentation. In Europe WGLS locations are: Vaasa, Turku, Kampen, Drunen, Schiedam, Gdansk, Trieste, Genoa, Fareham, Aalborg and Frauenfeld.
What will you be doing?
As a Global Process Expert you will play a crucial role to capture the current requirements and operational needs of our warehouses working in WMS and IM environment in SAP and be part of integrating these into the updated ERP system SAP S/4 Hana for a seamless transfer in 2025. You will be the important link between our warehouses in Singapore, US, Ecuador and Brazil and the Nova project. You will mainly be working with the Nova program but also with your counterparts in WGLS and Parts Delivery, Global Warehousing.
In this position, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Cooperate with stakeholders on current warehousing processes, process improvements or new processes to be developed
- Actively participate in the Nova project meetings
- Inform, write instructions, train, coach and support stakeholders when applicable
- Implement and test new elements/updates in the different systems/processes
We hope you have the following knowledge or skills:
- BSc or MSc in Logistics, Engineering or equivalent
- Logistical background and broad experience from Warehouse Management and Inventory Management systems. Transportation Management knowledge also beneficial
- Advanced knowledge of SAP
- SAP S/4 Hana experience
- Experience from working in projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Continuous Operational Excellence focus
- Demonstrable ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural and international work environment
- Excellent communication, co-operation and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to work; open & willing to adapt to change
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge about WGLS organisation and processes is beneficial
