We are looking for a QA Specialist for our next big game!

THE JOB

As the QA Specialist of the talented and passionate Quality Assurance team behind RETURNAL you will work closely with a team of Internal and External QA testers and the QA Lead to help drive the next evolution of Housemarque games.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who already has some experience working in a QA position in a first party development environment and is looking for a place to further develop their QA knowledge and experience.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Working closely with the QA and development teams to help understand their needs
• Contributing towards design, implementation and maintenance of QA processes
• Collaborating on creation and maintenance of test documentation
• Assisting with designing, assessing and executing automated and manual tests
• Reporting, tracking, and managing bugs in JIRA and communicating risks with stakeholders
• Providing direct qualitative feedback on the title
• Collaborating across multiple disciplines within the team
• Attending meetings and ceremonies organized by internal and external teams
• Participating in Continuous Service Improvement processes with the QA team
• Transferring pertinent information between Development and QA teams
• Liaising with production team and other stakeholders

What will help you to be successful in this role?

• Previous experience holding a QA position in a first party environment
• A passion for learning and self development
• A good understanding of bug database usage
• Experience with using Editor software
• Good written and verbal English skills
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• A desire to provide ideas and improvements to processes
