Business Unit Parts and Field Service is a global organisation with harmonised ways of working and tools to deliver the best possible services for our customers. We are now looking for an enthusiastic On-call Trainee to join our team in Vaasa, Finland. In accordance with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely. As an On-Call Trainee, you can work up to 25 hours per week. The On-Call Trainee positions are meant for a person who is a full-time student studying for a degree in Finland.


What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be responsible for spare parts purchasing, managing the entire process from requirement to delivery. Your goal will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, supporting smooth operations and enhancing customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has the technical understanding to effectively manage customer requests and supplier communications. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will work closely with your team in a fast-paced environment to deliver the best possible service experience for our customers.


Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Preparing and executing the purchase order process
  • Proactively following up on purchase orders and handling supplier invoices
  • Managing supplier claims efficiently
  • Fostering teamwork within the team and building commitment
  • Collaborating with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Executing purchase orders, monitoring orders, confirming details, and rescheduling as necessary
  • Manage supplier-related transportation actions
  • Monitoring and reporting on supplier performance
  • Maintaining material and logistics data in relevant systems within the defined area of responsibility
  • Coordinating the delivery of goods and logistics information with internal and external stakeholders
  • Expediting the delivery of goods to ensure on-time delivery and cost-efficiency


The following will enable you to succeed in this role:

  • You study engineering or commercial trade
  • Technical understanding to effectively manage customer requests and supplier communications
  • Team-player mindset, enabling seamless collaboration both within the team and across different departments, to achieve common goals
  • Proactive and result-oriented mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Finnish is advantageous
