We are now looking for a Project Controller, Financials to join the Global Business Support Centre (GBSC). As a Project Controller, Financials you are accountable for financial controlling and reporting of a specific project portfolio and supporting Project Managers and project organizations with project financials. We are looking for an energetic, positive, accurate, and systematic person who is familiar with financial control and project management principles. We value good team spirit and cooperation as well as great communication skills.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland with hybrid remote work possibilities, but other locations could be considered.
Main responsibilities:
- Monitor and forecast project profitability as well as analyse project cost and margin deviations
- Ensure correct order book and financial reporting
- Manage monthly closing activities as well as rolling forecasting and provide on-time, reliable, and high-quality reporting
- Support Project Managers and Business Unit Controllers with project financials
- Lead financial project review meetings
- Participate in various project-related meetings during the project lifecycle
- Provide reports, analyses, and estimates of the financial performance of the project portfolio
- Analysing and follow-up on high-risk projects as well as changes in scope/variation orders
- Develop own function, ensure knowledge sharing, conduct internal training, and improve processes
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Economics
- Knowledge and experience in financial project controlling and related accounting
- Team player but also able to work independently as a financial specialist, knowing how to solve issues and understand the impact on other parts of the organization
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, take initiative and achieve results
- Solid experience with SAP, QV reports and MS Office, PowerBI knowledge is beneficial
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and grow along the business requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
