Developer (Full Stack), Transaction banking

We are now looking for a developer to join our Transaction banking tribe in Helsinki to develop and maintain our services and solutions for our corporate and personal customers. As a team of nine people, we have the end-to-end responsibility of two products: OP Vendorweb (OP Myyjäliikepalvelu) and OP Finance self-service portal (OP Rahoituksen verkkopalvelu).   

The common task of your team is to design, develop and implement technical solutions and bring them to the use of our end customers in high quality. In addition to maintenance, you’ll get to focus on developing completely new features. For example, lately, the team has been especially focusing on building up our new AWS-based OP Finance solution at rahoitus.op.fi. Feel free to go and have a look!

As a Full Stack developer, you’ll focus both on frontend and backend development of the OP transaction bank vendor and end-customer solutions, API design and implementation as well as designing technical solutions. As developers, we work closely with the business itself and close the customer interface. This gives us a great chance to see the whole life cycle of the product from innovative ideas to design, testing and production while gaining a concrete understanding of our end-customer needs. We are an autonomous team where responsibility is genuinely shared. What we hope from you

You should have previous experience in full stack software development. Your strong analytical skills enable you to solve problems independently but also together with your team. You are fluent in English and being able to communicate in Finnish is a big plus.

To thrive in this kind of environment, we believe you should own (more or less) the following technical skills:

•    strong, hands on experience of backend Java (Spring) development
•    solid frontend development skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern libraries and stacks (e.g. React)
•    knowledge of relational (e.g. DB2) and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB) 
•    knowledge of AWS environment with tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, Docker
•    automated regression testing
