Are you energetic, self-driven and willing to grow within supply chain development in a multinational environment?
We are looking for an On-Call Trainee in Supplier Development team in Supply Management in Wärtsilä Marine Power, Power Supply. The preferred location for this position is in Vaasa, Finland. There is also the possibility of partial remote work on a weekly basis.
On-Call Trainee position is meant for students, who can work 0-25 hours per week.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Actively support new product introduction and systematic quality assurance activities for the new components
- Actively support analysing supplier performance, identifying development opportunities and driving the development actions
- Actively support ensuring that Root Cause Analysis performed by the supplier, and the corrective & preventive actions that follow, address the actual root cause(s) and are implemented properly to prevent the recurrence of the defect
- Other validation and quality assurance-related activities
Below you’ll find the criteria to be successful in this position:
- Strong personal drive for identifying potential for development and taking action on initiatives
- Performance-focused mindset
- A systematic way of working and excellent problem-solving skills
- Good teamwork, coordination and communication skills
- Experience of working in manufacturing or supply chain management
- Minimum 3 years of studies performed in M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalent degree
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in SAP is seen as a benefit
