We are looking for a Chief Project Engineer, Electrical & Automation with a main responsibility in Electrical and Automation Engineering. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Turku, or Helsinki in Finland are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
  
As a Chief Project Engineer, Electrical & Automation, your work will be mostly based on the following responsibilities:

  • Be a representative of the company and have technical ownership of assigned tasks or projects
  • Manage project activities, integration engineering, and technical correspondence with customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders as well as internal team members
  • Plan and safeguard execution of activities with the total cost, schedule, and customer-specific needs in focus according to standards and contract requirements, specifications, instructions, and policies
  • Actively participate in customer, vendor, and stakeholder negotiations and maintain good relationships
  • Identify, mitigate, monitor, and report risks, quality issues, use of resources, cost, schedule, and scope issues in projects and for products and work process improvement
  • Support project and sales teams in complex projects and stakeholders with concepts and product solutions maintaining and developing knowledge in the global organization
  • Participate in developing and maintaining tools and work methods in own responsibility area
  • Give, collect, and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area

 
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 5 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment
  • Cultural knowledge and excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude, cost awareness, and effectiveness skills
  • Ability to communicate in English and other languages is seen as a benefit
