We are now looking for a 

Project Manager  

to join Aalto University’s Reseach Services. In this position you will be responsible for the administration of major EU funded research projects coordinated by Aalto University (Post-Award Services). We wish that you could start as soon as possible. The position is fixed-term until 31^st of December 2022.   

Your role and goals

As a Project Manager your task is to manage the administration of large multipartner research projects coordinated by Aalto University. These international projects represent top-level scientific research and they are of key importance both to the University and the research team. As a Project Manager you are responsible for the administration of projects from the grant agreement phase to final reporting in cooperation with the Principal Investigator Professor, the project consortium, and the financier (typically European Union). You are the link to other services provided by Aalto University during project lifetime. In addition, training and advising of the researchers and Aalto service organization is part of your job. 

You are part of Aalto Post-Award Services team at Research Services and work closely with Pre-Award Services, Legal Services, Financial Services and other support services at Aalto University.

Your experience and ambitions

You have a doctoral degree and have previous experience in the administration of externally funded research projects. We expect you to have a good knowledge on relevant funding instruments, e.g. Horizon 2020.

In order to be successful as a project manager you have the ability to work independently, skills to manage large entities and high level organizational skills.

You are able to search knowledge from different sources and to distribute and interpret funding terms and conditions to academic researchers. Your cooperation, networking and communication skills are excellent. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English. Your way of working is based on problem solving and you are customer oriented.
