Autonomous Vehicle DevOps Engineer

We at Fleetonomy are creating a remote operation platform to get people in loop to remotely help automated vehicles to achieve their full potential with the current technology. We work with partners and in projects that can literally change the World as we know it and our ordinary day is still science fiction to most.

Now we are looking for more DevOps Engineers willing to take a plunge into robotics and to join us.

In this position you would be working on integrating small computers (Nvidia Jetson, RasPi, Arduino etc.) and their peripheral devices (cameras, delivery hooks, sensors etc.) to different type of autonomous vehicles (drones, cars etc.). Sometimes you just need to plug a device to a computer and everything works, but it's not uncommon that you need to first solder your own cable and build a customised version of a manufacturer provided driver or tool.

Ideally you would have software development / scripting experience (Python, C++, C, bash etc.) on Linux to be able to build your own scripts to make magic happen, like tell delivery hook to open via serial port or build a script to read data from temperature sensor and push it to our data storage. You would also be troubleshooting odd hardware / software issues, get the vehicles to connect to our network over mobile network and debug performance issues etc.

When the integration to the device is done, you would be making sure that everything works on a simulator environment, and after that take the newly assembled drone or ground vehicle for a real-life ride using our remote operation platform. You would also be the primary responsible remote operator during our partner and customer demonstrations.

Also we are looking for people who want to learn and grow on the job and are not afraid to get out of their comfort zone.
