KONE IT is an organization of process development and IT experts responsible for developing KONE's processes and managing cutting-edge IT solutions worldwide

We are now looking for Solution Design Owner, Budget Planning Solutions to join KONE IT. The Solution Design Owner will actively contribute to design solutions supporting the sales processes during customer journey as part of engagements with KONE customers for Maintenance and Modernization related business. As a Solution Design Owner you will work closely with business owners and other stakeholder to capture and manage the business requirements and formulate these into information system concepts and functional specifications. You will work in close co-operation with technical team(s) and solution providers in order to create alternative solutions ensuring technical fit for purpose.

Sales & Demand Capture team is responsible for managing, developing and deliver global solutions that support consultative sales during engagements with KONE customers. Solutions are used by KONE sales personnel and intuitively build as mobile or online applications.

The Sales & Demand Solution Capture team is part of the Customer & Sales Solutions unit within KONE IT. This unit owns a broad set of solutions ranging from digital marketing, public & closed web sites & portals, sales tools, CRM and product configurators, into growing set of customer insight and analytics solutions. We both consult and serve the business lines and sales organizations by introducing digital opportunities in agile way to the business.

The position is based in Espoo, Finland and you will report to the Head of Demand Capture Solutions, within the Customer & Sales Solution Team in KONE IT.

Key requirements

  • Understanding, analyzing and supporting the prioritization of business requirements.
  • Taking initiative to create functional solution designs, i.e. specifying elevator and escalator equipment survey and asset management processes into form of intuitive functional solution design.
  • Compiling, reviewing and maintaining required solution documentation and related documents.
  • Formulate business and process requirements into functional specifications
  • Influencing the functional design of all related and interconnected solutions within other functional areas to ensure solid cross-functional design
  • Responsible for solution release management process within own solution responsibility
  • Supporting and facilitating the key user community.
  • Strong experience in working with virtual and remote teams, especially IT experts

Skills, Education And Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in IT / Business Administration / Engineering. MBA is competitive advantage
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into functional design, e.g. in a role as business analyst, solution or product designer
  • At least 10 years of experience in driving the technical implementation of web and mobile tools with special focus on sales processes (customer driven development)
  • Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience in working in an international environment with ability to perform in virtual organizations
  • Very good collaboration and communication skills in English, ability to work independently, and ability to work in virtual teams in a multicultural environment
  • Service design thinking experience
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • Highly motivated team player with good sense of humor
