About Finland

Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 900 professionals supporting functions such as production, instrument and reagent manufacturing, R&D, marketing, sales, quality, administrative support and supply chain. We hire experts in different fields including engineering, chemistry, microbiology and bioinformatics. Our Vantaa site develops and manufactures pipettes, microplate instruments, magnetic particle processing systems as well as clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers, laboratory automation solutions and food safety kits. How will you make an impact?

We are looking for a Sales Manager, Finland & Baltics to our Laboratory Products Division. You will e leading a team of 5 direct reports. Our international working environment, fast paced working rhythm and sometimes rapidly changing operational environment require flexibility, understanding of big picture and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities:

Sales Targets and Objectives

  • Ensure sales volume, revenue and product mix and meet the agreed business plan
  • Execution of regional sales strategy in line with commercial organization and channel management team
  • Ensure timely delivery of reporting and forecasting through utilization of the company sales tools
Territory Coverage
  • Maintain a structured calling plan to ensure regular visits (including joint visits with Channels) to new and existing customers to promote the Company’s products and services
  • In collaboration with Sales Specialists and Product Specialists make sufficient prospecting calls each week to ensure that the pipeline is of sufficient value to meet the monthly sales target
  • Support the Channel sales force with the execution of promotional material, identification of training gaps and basic product knowledge
Records and Reporting
  • Keep all customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM regularly, including brief reports of all visits
  • Use the Company CRM to log all opportunities and campaigns
  • Maintain Key Account plans to maximize business at major accounts
Product and Company Knowledge
  • Ensure adequate knowledge of entire product range and services
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the Company and its structure
Market Knowledge
  • Identify all decision makers and influencers at the customer account, major future developments, projects and tenders in the territory
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape to enable successful execution of the business strategy
Cost Management
  • Keep selling costs to a minimum, always within company guidelines
How will you get here?You have strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships with key Channel partners and customers positively impacting business growth. You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and strong organizational and time management skills as well. You are willing to spend a lot of time travelling and have a valid driver’s license.We expect you to have
  • 5+ years of sales and key account experience dealing with customers at all levels within an organization
  • Science Qualification, Degree or equivalent preferable
  • Experience in leading a sales team
  • Relevant Sales experience in a similar market environment
  • Knowledge of the HealthCare, Academia and Life Science markets within the core market (Finland)
  • In depth knowledge of laboratory products
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work both as part of a team as well as lead a team of your own
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent language skills in English and in Finnish
  • Fully conversant with MS Office suite
