This role is in ABB’s Industrial Automation (IA) business and within the Marine & Ports (MP) Business Line. ABB Marine & Ports employs around 2000 professionals globally.

Your responsibilities

Developing IAMP Business IS roadmap, in line with Business IS Roadmap, proposing priorities for investment and following the budget requirements for specific projects / programs. Contributing to development of IS strategy, roadmap, project portfolio definition and IS Enterprise Architecture. Contributing to the build of appropriate IS Services and Solutions, by articulating business needs and priorities, in cooperation with Business IS and Business Line leadership. Following and communicating IS Service support / solution deliveries within Business Line. Acting as a single point of contact between IAMP Business Line and Business / Corporate IS function (including Global Business Support) to maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, provide clear accountability and avoiding complexities. Developing productive relationships and collaborating with business line, Business IS, Corporate IS and other Global Business Line IS Managers, to optimize value for the business, identifying and leveraging demand synergies, minimizing spend and investments. Conducting regular surveys of stakeholder satisfaction with provided IS services, publishing the results and, where necessary, implementing action plans to improve satisfaction. Leading and managing multinational team of IS Managers and IS Specialists. Ensuring that the department is properly staffed, skilled and directed. Acting as a leader guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates, in line with HR policies. Leading and guiding business initiatives from the initial idea to the achievement of business results. Ensuring that expected business value is incrementally delivered and communicated. Managing assigned budget effectively and delivering activities within agreed schedules and costs. Providing transparency on IS costs and ensuring optimal cost level for IS services are achieved. Leading and contributing to demand management process, while ensuring quality in process execution. In collaboration with IAMP Business Line counterparts, mapping business process demand to existing or new IS solutions. Challenging IAMP Business Line on technical innovation. Defining new, innovative solutions. Driving the whole lifecycle of internal IS and cross-functional processes related to IS service delivery or IS service demand for IAMP. Ensuring that IS solutions, services and processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards in line with corporate IS, legislation and technical policies. Your background

Master’s degree or equivalent with minimum 15 years of preferably Business and IT experience, particularly in Industrial Automation and /or Robotization, IS Strategy, IS processes and solution design, including 10+ years of global Business or IS /leadership experience. Business acumen and ability to take a strategic view, both from business and IS perspective. Proven performance, as a leader, in a complex, global organization, where IT transformation efforts were successfully delivered, driving improvement in business outcome, reliability, security, cost and performance. Senior leadership experience, including demonstrated examples of building relationships and management, through influence and collaboration in a complex, multi-cultural global environment. Significant experience successfully leading geographically dispersed and diverse teams.
