Wärtsilä Business Control Centre (BCC) in Europe and Africa is now looking for a new Team Leader to join our team of controlling professionals. Wärtsilä Business Control Centre is a virtual organisation whose primary responsibility is operative controlling across all revenue streams and product lines within Wärtsilä.

We are now looking for an experienced, development minded “Team Leader, Operations” with a can-do attitude. The team leader is responsible for the operative controlling in the Field Services and Contract Management revenue streams in Europe and Africa BCC delivering high quality services.

The preferred location for the “Team Leader, Operations” is Vaasa, Finland, but also other current BCC locations can be considered. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage own team to provide high quality operative controlling services in Contract Management and  Field Services to all stakeholders. The team is responsible for the contract management and field service operative controlling in the region, including period end closing.
• Secure the team’s performance through e.g. resource planning, active follow up, planning and communication.
• Provide guidance, coaching and competence development for own team
• Ensure best practices are followed and strive for efficient alignment of processes and ways of working within own team, in collaboration with other BCC regional teams and with stakeholders 
• Pro-actively supports, communicates with and provides feedback to field service and contract management organisations, business controllers and other relevant stakeholders and ensure business end users are trained in finance process related matters
• Actively seek to improve processes and tools  - give input to/drive development initiatives and ensure follow-up and timely implementation
• SAP key user and problem solver for matters related to the revenue streams

Requirements

• B.Sc or M.Sc. Degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting
• Good financial knowledge, reporting and analysing skills
• Excellent SAP skills, especially in FICO, CS and PS and in other reporting tools (e.g. Qlikview)
• Good knowledge and understanding of field service and contract management processes and its drivers as well as business and system integration 
• Strong leadership skills with focus on people management and development as well as organisational and planning skills. Experience from working efficiently with virtual teams is seen as a clear advantage
• Strong communication skills – being able to confidently communicate, collaborate and influence across multicultural teams, functions and levels within the organisation and towards stakeholders with customers in focus
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and to drive solutions
• Excellent skills in English
• Knowledge and experience in other revenue streams (parts & production, project management, department cost and investments) is seen as an advantage.
