We are now looking for Material Management Specialist to join KONE Elevator factory in Hyvinkää.

This position is one year cover for a maternity leave. During this year you will be responsible for ensuring organization has access to needed materials and inputs to operate successfully.

As a Material Management Specialist you will ensure on time material availability, coordinate operative purchasing and monitor daily performance of material suppliers. You will work in close collaboration with our production and engineering teams, in order to get the best possible delivery solutions and suppliers for our project specific elevator cars.

In this role you will co-operate closely with unit sourcing and also run project specific RFQs independently.
 

Key responsibilities

o    Coordinating the operative purchasing operations and ensuring that purchasing activities are executed timely and as per requirements

o    Running project specific RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) and selecting suppliers for special projects

o    Supplier Performance Monitoring

o    Managing order changes and supplier forecasts

o    Project support in order to ensure seamless material flow

o    Close co-operation with production and other stakeholders in order to ensure best solutions for C-process deliveries (project specific products).

o    Supplier co-operation and operations development together with Supplier Quality Management and Sourcing

Ideally you will have:

o    B.Sc. or M.Sc. level technical or commercial degree

o    Working experience in mechanical manufacturing is a strong asset

o    Deep knowledge of factory supply chain, project specific procurement and sourcing

o    Understanding of technical drawings and products structures in SAP

o    Independent working style and capability to drive development projects independently

o    Analytical thinking and understanding of different phenomena in procurement

o    Ability and willingness to work in global environment

o    Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills in English and Finnish

o    Excellent collaboration skills and capability to team work

o    Strong problem solving skills, knowledge of Six Sigma Tools is an asset

o    High knowledge of SAP and MS Excel

o    Knowledge of different manufacturing technologies is an asset
