We are looking for a Treasury Specialist to join our Group Treasury team for the summer. The location for the position is at the Wärtsilä Campus in Helsinki, Finland.

What will you do?

You would be an additional resource to our team. Certain major projects are ahead of us and we need to strengthen the team with a Treasury Specialist who would contribute to daily operations in the field of Back Office, Compliance, Trade Finance and Front Office, and thereby enabling colleagues to allocate time to the important project work. At the same, you will learn and gain competence and experience in a wide range of treasury expertise when you perform the duties in a rotating manner. You will also have a supporting role in the projects.

Who you will be working with?

Our Treasury team is responsible of Group’s liquidity and funding, financial risk management, front and back-office operations, guarantees, enterprise risk management and insurances and customer financing solutions. Treasury is also home for Wärtsilä Global Credit Control organisation and a development team focusing on Robotic Process Automation, reporting automation and uses of advanced technologies to boost our capabilities and scope.

As our Treasury Specialist, you will receive a good insight into and experience of Treasury working actively together with external financial institutions, our subsidiaries across the continents, the centralized team of Wärtsilä Shared Service Center and the development of Treasury related processes and systems. The qualifications you would ideally have

• Close to completed studies of M.Sc., majoring in Finance or Accounting
• Working experience in a corporate or bank, preferably with a multinational perspective and in duties with substance to corporate treasury
• Good team working skills as well as ability to work independently
• Flexibility, genuine interest in all areas for corporate treasury function
• Mathematical and analytical mindset, well capable of handling complexity in tight deadlines
• Good communication skills, can talk and write in fluent and professional English and Finnish, other language skills will be an advantage
• Excellent command of Office tools, quick at learning to use various software applications, knowledge of SAP considered as an advantage
• Comfortable with diversity, different cultural aspects and backgrounds, and all levels of organisation
• Genuine interest in corporate treasury business in a truly Global corporate
• It is a must that you have no criminal record and you consent with a background check
