The opportunity:

The Financial Analyst (FA) will have responsibilities for controllership functions for Finnish and Middle East entities. The FA will be an integral part of the accounting cycle, providing support to the Global Finance team, assisting in accounting and financial reporting activities, and regional requirements. FA will be a key member of the European finance team, managing traditional controllership responsibilities and being a significant contributor to the consolidated US GAAP close.

You are great at:

Main Responsibilities and duties:
- Performing monthly analytic review of the US GAAP close
- Performing analytical review of period end financial results.
- Responding to monthly questions from management on the balance sheet and P&L review.
- Reviewing account reconciliations and promoting best practices with Accounting Services to ensure proper accounting and controls are in place.
- Assisting the tax group.
- Supporting the tax group in the preparation of the annual tax return.
- Providing support material for tax compliance requirements.
- Providing support for period end VAT returns.
- Assisting with commodity and income tax audits.
- Assisting in the preparation of local GAAP financial statements.
- Providing support during statutory audits as part of the year-end review process.
- Documenting local country GAAP adjustments.
- Providing local support to the business.
- Assisting the business in addressing finance matters.
- Providing general support and information to the business as requested.

What it takes:

- 5+ years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a technology company.
- Experience with general Controllership duties listed above.
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
- Must be meticulous and detail oriented.

Key skills and abilities:
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Capable of working independently, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge and application of European VAT regulation considered an asset.
- Experience in SAP is an asset.
