Expert Insight (EI) expertise is part of the Wärtsilä Contract Management Marine and Energy business line. The business’ aim is to establish a strong, focused operation, management and life-cycle services support organisation to meet the growth within lifecycle solution offerings. We deliver our services in close collaboration with other Wärtsilä stakeholders for our customers globally. 

We are now looking for a Technical Expert(s) to join our team.  

The Experts in the team is responsible to manage the new AI technology tool set used to detect and report multiportfolio equipment performance anomaly events for Marine and Power Plants installations according to our promised contractual obligations. 

Our Monitoring Services are delivered for customers having a long-term service agreement or for installations under warranty in close collaboration with other Wärtsilä stakeholders for our customers Globally.

The position is located in Vaasa, Finland.

In this position he/she reports to the Team Lead, of multiportfolio EI at Expertise Centre, Vaasa.

Responsibilities: 
As a Technical Expert, EI you are responsible for delivering multiportfolio monitoring services through continuously follow up performance of installed assets, by giving technical advices to our customers under a lifecycle solution. You will continuously improve our services and documentation with own area of responsibilities. You will work as an innovative and informative technical expert in close collaboration with Wärtsilä stakeholders in Contract Management business lines and Asset Management Services. 

Desired Skills:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Marine engineer or equivalent.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Knowledge in Marine and/or Power Plant installations, engines, auxiliary systems and processes with good eye for seeing the big picture and understanding our customers business
- Knowledge in equipment and/or system performance and related analytics
- Skills in reporting with good knowledge of visualization and HMI’s tools 
- Basic knowledge of mathematical modelling and neural network is seen as a merit 
- Open to learn, adapt and develop to new technologies, in particular new IT tools used in diagnostics
- Familiar with Wärtsilä software applications, procedures, processes in Services is an advantage
- Trace record of negotiation skills, proactiveness, systematic and organized way of working.
